Chapter 14

The Founder at work

(1896–1898)

Mary Baker Eddy began 1896 by delivering a communion address in her Church in Boston, Massachusetts—The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist. In her talk she turned thought away from the persecution of Jesus of Nazareth to his demonstration of divine, infinite Love in forgiving his enemies, which enabled him to overcome the cross and the grave.
