About JSH-Online

JSH-Online is the official website of The Christian Science Journal, Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science. It is part of the expanding effort of The Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston, Massachusetts, in partnership with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and the christianscience.com family of websites, to extend and promote the religion of Christian Science as taught by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and the author of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

JSH-Online is a monthly subscription website providing an online portal to everything currently published in print and audio by the Journal, the Sentinel, and the 14 language editions of the Herald, and includes a full-text searchable archive of everything published in print from 1883 to today and audio content from 2000 to today.

JSH-Online is designed to extend access to the periodicals through mobile technologies, to build an interactive and supportive reader community through collaborative features, and to broaden the reach of the periodicals with options that support easy content sharing with non-subscribers.

The mission of JSH-Online is to stay abreast of the times in fulfilling the purpose for the periodicals as stated by Mary Baker Eddy. “I have given the name to all the Christian Science periodicals. The first was The Christian Science Journal, designed to put on record the divine Science of Truth; the second I entitled Sentinel, intended to hold guard over Truth, Life, and Love; the third, Der Herold der Christian Science, to proclaim the universal activity and availability of Truth;...” Extract from the leading Editorial in Vol. 1, No. 1, of The Christian Science Monitor, November 25, 1908, Something in a Name.
