To help prevent this, she gave this daily prayer—one could even describe it as a Puritan prayer—to her followers: “‘Thy kingdom come;’ let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin; and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!” 17 True to her Puritan roots, Mary Baker Eddy knew that sin must be faced—clearly seen for what it is—and dealt with head-on.
