Living up to his own recommendation, Powell published in 1907 a scorching book, Christian Science: The Faith and its Founder , 76 which reported that his own extensive researches corroborated the Milmine findings at every point, whereas he found no satisfaction in the parallel but contrasting series of biographical articles by Sibyl Wilbur which were now appearing in an obscure magazine called Human Life. On the other hand he stated honestly that he stood ready to revise his book if new evidence should come to light at any time to make revision necessary in the interest of truth.
