● ● ● 1905, she sent to the Directors a paragraph regarding hypodermic injections to be inserted in the next edition of Science and Health —a paragraph which was (to the perceptive) both an explanation and a carefully delimited sanction. One might have expected this to go into the chapter “Christian Science Practice,” instead of which she asked to have it on the last page of the chapter “Teaching Christian Science,” immediately preceding the crucial “Recapitulation” which is the basis of all Christian Science class instruction.
