Kenyan authorities have charged four Somali nationals with offenses related to September’s terrorist attack on Westgate Mall that killed 67 people. A court ordered the four men – Mohamed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah Omar, Hussein Hassan Mustafah, and Adan Dheq – imprisoned until a court hearing next week. All four pleaded not guilty in the court.

Mortar shells fell on a market in Bunagana in eastern Congo, killing four people Monday as fighting intensified between government soldiers and the M23 fighters who have lost most of the land they once controlled, a military spokesman said.

The US Supreme Court, which asks for God’s protection before every public session, will settle a dispute over prayer in the halls of government. The case being argued at the court Wednesday involves prayers said at the start of town council meetings in Greece, N.Y., a Rochester suburb. It is the court’s first legislative prayer case since 1983, when the justices said that an opening prayer is part of the nation’s fabric and not a violation of the First Amendment.

Twitter faces skepticism from potential investors and the broader public ahead of its initial public offering, according to an Associated Press-CNBC poll released Monday. Some 36 percent of Americans say buying stock in the seven-year-old short messaging service would be a good investment, while 47 percent disagree.

India is aiming to join the world’s deep-space pioneers with a journey to Mars that it hopes will showcase its technological ability to explore the solar system while seeking solutions for everyday problems on Earth. With a Tuesday launch planned for Mangalyaan, which means “Mars craft” in Hindi, India will attempt to become only the fourth country or group of countries to reach the red planet, after the Soviet Union, United States, and Europe.
