Journeying On

As the first decade of the 20th century drew to a close, Mary Baker Eddy’s leadership took a quieter form. Her students expected her to continue as commander-in-chief, fighting the day-to-day battles of the movement, but she began to disengage herself and spend more hours behind the scenes in reflective study and prayer.
